Saône-Moselle waterway link
Impact studies for the construction of a wide-gauge link between the Moselle and Saône rivers are being conducted within the frame of CPER 2000-2006 for the Lorraine and Rhône-Alpes regions.
It will ensure the continuity of the North-South European waterway that connects the Rhine in Koblenz to the Rhône and the Mediterranean ports.
The discussions held during the Grenelle Environment Forum in October 2007 concluded that a public debate on this project would be desirable.
